The PP World Cajon PP144 is the perfect instrument to take along to acoustic nights or jam sessions. Therefore why not travel light, and leave your drum kit at home. You have all the rhythm section you need, in one handy padded bag for nights just like that.
The Cajon (pronounced ca-hon) comes from South America and dates back to the early 19th century. It became a major part of Afro-Cuban dance music. The player sits astride the Cajon, then strikes and slaps the back and sides of the cajon with their hands. This creates different percussive sounds. In addition, by tilting the box at an angle while playing will also change the tone and timbre. Furthermore interior snares add extra 'snap' effects.
The PP144 is made from black and natural wood colours and finished with a varnish effect. It comes complete with a padded transit bag for carrying around to gigs.
